Now Is The Time to Look Back
Since we are nearing end of year it is a good time to look back and reflect on your achievements. In terms of blogging, we often make the mistake and focus on the negative:
- the subscribers we never got
- the lack of comments
- the lack of traffic
- etc.
The problem with this outlook is that it deters us from keeping motivated. Instead of thinking about the things that did go wrong, why can’t we think about what has. Now only will this make us more happy, but it will keep the inspirational juices flowing to keep moving ahead in our push for blogging domination.
This is the time to pat yourself on the back for the smallest steps of success you have achieved this year! Go on - don’t be shy! You really do deserve it.
Why not share your successes with us right here. I would really love to hear what inspired you this year about your online blogging journey?
Here is what I define as my successes for 2007: My number one success would have to be finding my real passion and moving away from what I felt I had to do to just run with what I wanted to do, namely writing and blogging. 2007 has really been a tremendous year for me in many ways. The most profound is that I managed to turn my business around from loosing money every month with MLM to actually earning a decent income which is getting better every month.
I’m having fun now instead of threading to call my list of leads or training new distributors over the phone only to see them disappear two weeks down the track. I truly love what I do now and every day just keeps getting better with all the things I learn.
So tell me about your successes and what you are truly excited about this year. Maybe you managed to make some money for the first time, or you finally learned how to set up your first WordPress blog. Or else you helped somebody to solve a nagging problem. All these are successes in their own rights and should never be overlooked.
Not only will this exercise help you to see progress, but you’ll also learn to use your successes for further growth.
To grow, you first need to know what works in your business and then you can take this and build onwards and upwards.
Goal setting is a very important step to keep you moving in the right direction and what better time of the year to do this than right now.
Here is to a successful 2008 for all of us.

It is such a treat to come across focussing on success rather than moaning about lack of progress.
Here goes then (1) after 3 years trying to make progress with so called “Affiliate Marketing” I see another point of view. I build my own membership site. Lots of cost and hassle but it’s done now.
(2) I write 2 ebooks. This is great, I can get affilate working for me now. Very cool! More pain and hassle since the guy who I paid to create my sales site vanishes before completion! But hey, now it’s done!
(3) More product creation, JVs, list building this year. And for the first time of Internet toil I’m having fun
Happy New Year!
Hi Alex,
Sounds like you are truly on the right track and I congratulate you for this. Sadly most people online never make it anywhere because they fail to plan and then work their plan.
Membership sites is also in the back of my mind one day and writing more ebooks.
I really appreciate you are sharing this with us and I wish you success in all your endeavors.
