Moving Your Wordpress Blog to a New Hosting Account
How do you move your entire WP blog to a new server?
For example, lets say you are sick and tired of hosting company A and want to move to hosting company B? Or if you want to get another type of account within the same company?
The easiest way is to ask your hosting provider to move your entire WP blog and MySQL databse to your new hosting server, and then update your nameservers in your domain name provider. I’m using Hostgator and had no problems with this. In fact their customer service was more than helpful to guide me along the process.
While your DNS (Domain Name Server) propagates, don’t make any new posts because these may be lost in space forever.
