  • Develop A Great Sales Process

    April 23, 2007 | By Gobala Krishnan |

You can consider this as the most challenging. The difficulty lies not in the principle but in its applications. In other words, the real challenge is in knowing what works and what doesn’t. Here are some some basic steps that you can follow

    • Find a great website name (a “dot-com” is best)
    • Register your website address as your business name
    • Develop a compelling sales letter
    • Develop an effortless sales process
    • Obtain the necessary e-commerce services
    • Develop systems for fulfilling your orders
    • Develop good customer service strategies
    • Capture visitor names and email addresses
    • Remain in contact with your customers and visitors
    • Design, optimize and upload your website

Develop strategies attract visitors, such as:

    • Search engines
    • Newsletters
    • Classified ads
    • Banner ads
    • Affiliate programs
    • Articles submissions
    • Linking strategies
    • Content development
    • Online publicity
    • And offline publicity

This may seem like a lot, but don’t worry. It’s not as difficult as it appears. Just remember that the process is a never-ending job. You can always find ways to improve sales, new marketing methods with which to experiment and methods to automate the process.

Always keep your eyes and ears open for the new ideas, tactics and software that can help.

    In other words, keep learning.

My thoughts - Great Sales Process should be more focused towards the tools to set-up a good sales process, and should answer the questions What, When, Where, Why, Whom, and How.

Somehow, I did not think you provided the answers. You presented the inforation to me but how to fit it in the Sales Process jigsaw puzzle?

Yeah there’s something missing in the sales process. A great sales process should also identify the overall strategy of approaching a market, according to the questions May mentioned above.

actually all of these steps take time, effort and planning. you do need to understand your customers. you should create a profile of them. while it is necessary to get going you must have research and information. better to take your time with your research but once you have it take action.

there is no perfect fixed sales process.if a company fallows one business strategy for sales process which is attaining high profits,it may give losses to the other company which is fallowing the same strategy.
