Blogging Is A Balancing Act
Blogging is a balancing act with the high wire, the view from the top and the feeling one gets when he falls flat on the nose. Blogging also attracts an amble crowd much like the trapeze artist and where he holds the pole to keep the balance we bloggers need to hold our goals in mind.
Have you ever felt like your life is totally out of whack. Like you are just about walking too far on the right hand side and the fright of toppling over at any second made you nauseous?
It isn’t a pretty feeling isn’t it?
But what can we do, when we are already on that high wire (blogging) desperate to keep the balance? Is there a magic solution that allows us to keep walking, or should we take that step into the void with the realization that it could be the wrong one?
So many questions, yet so many possibilities.
Essentially the question of balance is at the forefront of our mind due to the ever rising demands of society on our time.
Balancing in the SOcial MEdia DIgital Age:
So how do we balance our live?
Work - family - recreation - and blogging. Where are the boundaries? How does one know where one ends and the other one begins?
Well, we don’t! I can’t possibly know about your day to day life and what you are up to. So I cannot help to make that decision for you. But what I CAN do for you is to engage your thought process on handling a potential frustrating experience and look at it with the potential in mind.
Lack of time is a commodity that is traded far too much these days!
I hear it everywhere I go. Oh, sorry I couldn’t do this because….
…..my sister came to visit last night and we got carried away chatting - or I didn’t want to miss my favorite TV show.
When people use these excuses, or any excuses as a matter of fact they are only kidding themselves.
In fact they are betraying themselves by lying! Often it is done unconsciously but regardless of this, it is still lying. Because if we are absolutely honest with ourselves there is always time.
It just matters how much value we are giving to the task!
I want to put this to you: next time when you are about to say “but I have no time” please STOP right there and evaluate whether this is really true or else it is you trying to make an excuse for yourself.
Now here is to reclaimed TIME.

Monika, I’d have to say that I agree with your comments completely. It’s so easy to make an excuse instead of getting on and doing the job.
I’m amazed in the offline world at how many people don’t have time to learn a new skill, but can find the time to watch 40+ hours of tv every week!
We’ve all made excuses at some point, I guess, and it’s nobody’s business but their own. However, taking responsibility for the decision to spend time doing one thing instead of another at least puts the power back in our own hands.
From there it’s very much down to the individual.
Completely agree with your thought. Procrastination and lime excuses for doing nothing are the worst bloggers’ enemies.
Granted there is a lot of wasted time in the average life, but sometimes it is necessary to spend time on trivial pursuits such as watching TV or goofing off gossiping with a family member in order to recharge your brain. The key is to focus completely when you are working so the necessary tasks get finished and you can use your work time effectively to make some money.
