What To Expect In Wordpress v2.2

April 11, 2007 | By Kevin C. Nair |

With all the buzz on the upcoming Wordpress v2.2 due this 22nd April, a lot of people come to wonder on what will the final features be on its launch.

Regarding on what to expect :

  • Tagging support out of the box
  • Permalink redirection
  • Improved comment editing
  • Atom 1.0 support for feed
  • Multiple format comments feed including Atom
  • Atom API support
  • Additional XML-RPC APIs for pages and such.
  • Phpmailer integrated for performance and maintainability

By just looking at the features, looks like Wordpress v2.2 is more worthy of an upgrade if compare to Wordpress v2.1. However we still have 2 more weeks to go before the launch (if they aren’t any delay) to see the final features installed.

i’m anxious waiting for this new version. The features seems superb, and wordpress is becoming THE ONE has a blog or cms tool.
