Dark Gray and Pink Two-Column Theme
Misunderstood, originally designed by Will Rossiter has just been released by Sam Devol with added plugins incorporated, and the best looking code blocks, blockquotes and “pullquotes” I’ve seen in a long time. The code blocks background gives the effect of pseudo line numbering, as well as making the code blocks really stand out from the rest of the theme. The “pullquotes” use a plugin which has been incorporated into the theme (jspullquotes by Viper007bond) gives magazine style quotes with top and bottom borders, italic styling and a big, pink first letter.
The theme is dark grey, with light grey writing and dark pink highlights. The sidebar is to the left and the search is at the top opposite the title. Everything is set out neatly, and works very well. The plugins included are jspullquotes by Viper007Bond (for the magazine-style pullquotes), Sociable by Peter Harkins (adds Social Bookmarking links to the end of each post), Live Comment Preview by Jeff Minard and Iacovos Constantinou, Optimal Title by Aaron Schaefer (reverses order of post-title/blog-title for SEO/Search friendliness) and Related Posts by By Alexander Malov & Mike Lu (lists related posts at the end of each post).
